Job Description

They are looking for motivated teachers, who can engage and inspire young students, and who are looking for an enriching and educational experience themselves.

 

Role

Position runs from 08/07/2024 to 09/08/2024.

  • Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of students in their care.

  • Teach English as a foreign language to junior students.

  • Ensure all language tuition is appropriate to a summer camp environment by understanding and following the pre-prepared Alpadia syllabus and lesson plans.

  • Have and demonstrate a sound knowledge and awareness of the use of English providing appropriate models of both spoken and written English.

  • Ensure that lessons lead to relevant learning outcomes.

  • Attend and participate in daily staff meetings.

  • Attend and participate in weekly workshops.

  • Maintain proper levels of student discipline, safety and welfare in the classroom.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

  • TEFL qualification (Essential)

  • First Degree or equivalent (level 6)

  • CELTA, Trinity Cert. TESOL or equivalent

  • DELTA or Dip TESOL (Desirable)

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills (Essential).

  • Ability to motivate and enjoy working with large groups of children/teenagers (Essential).

  • Excellent organisational skills (Essential).

  • Ability to work well in a team (Essential).

  • Positive, flexible and adaptable attitude towards team working and teaching (Essential).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a client focused approach (Essential).

  • Experience of teaching in summer camps (Desirable).

  • Experience of teaching junior students (Desirable).
