If you have not completed your course after this time, you can purchase 7 or 30 day extensions from our shop.
The hours indicated for each course reflect the guided learning hours, which range from 10 to 180 hours. The time it takes to complete a course can vary from person to person, depending on factors such as the amount of time you can dedicate to it and how quickly you absorb the material.
The course is compatible with laptops, computers, mobile phones and tablets. So you can learn at home or on the go! You can also download the Litmos LMS app for free and access the course from there. Please note tasks must be completed offline and requires a desktop. However, don't worry if you don't have the ability to do this, just let us know and we'll be happy to upload your tasks for you.
You'll get access to the course from the moment you sign up, just check your inbox for an email from Litmos with your login details. Please be aware that there might be some delays in accessing the course for the first time over the weekend and bank holidays.
The course is online and can be accessed from any laptop, computer, mobile phone, or tablet, which means that you don't have to live in the UK to take the course.
UK-TEFL’s course is aimed at anyone; therefore, there are no age restrictions.
You don't need any qualifications or teaching experience - as long as you can speak English fluently you can take this course.
You don't need any knowledge of grammar prior to taking the course, as it is covered during the course.
You don't need any books to take the course. The course does present you with recommended reading - including books and websites - which you may want to consider taking a look at.
You will be provided with reference materials throughout the course, these include help sheets and tasks for you to complete. Although not essential, we would highly recommend purchasing our Absolute TEFL Manual. It contains everything any new EFL student will need.
There is one task and one short assessment to be completed at the end of each module.
For the tasks, you can expect to be given a short exercise based on the topic of the module to complete offline and upload. These are mandatory to progress through the course.
There are mini quizzes and assessments throughout the course for you to complete. These can be repeated as many times as you wish. You must achieve at least 75% on every quiz and assessment to progress through the course. Mini quizzes present you with 3-5 questions to answer of varying styles. These could include multiple choice, sorting, matching, free writing or true and false questions.
Assessments give you a mix of multiple choice questions and questions that require you to type a keyword or phrase into the box given.
All questions are based on the content of the course.
As part of our Certified Learning Courses, Module 10 includes a TEFL exam which can only be taken once. To pass, you must achieve at least 75%.

If you do not pass the TEFL exam, you can purchase one additional attempt for £12 from our shop.
Yes, UK-TEFL is a platinum Approved Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) Centre. TQUK is a national awarding body and is regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).

If you have taken our Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (100 Hours) or one of our 10-Hour Specialist Modules, you will receive a UK-TEFL E-Certificate on completion of your course, and are able to download this electronic certificate from the achievements section in your profile.
To receive your certificate for our Level 2 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (120 Hours), Level 3 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (150 Hours), and Level 3 Certified Learning Course in TEFL (180 Hours) courses, your Graded Module will be submitted and marked by one of our team and on successful completion, you will be sent an email with your grade and UK-TEFL E-Certificate.
You can purchase a UK-TEFL Hard Copy Certificate for £15. For our Certified Learning Courses, you are able to upgrade your certificate to a TQUK Endorsed Certificate, issued from the national awarding body TQUK. The certificate includes a Module Statement and costs £39. Postage costs will be calculated at checkout.
A TEFL certificate is recognised worldwide and will qualify you to Teach English as a Foreign Language abroad, online, or privately in the UK. The certificate has no expiry date, so will last you a lifetime.
