Summer EFL Teachers - UK
Job Description
Discovery Summer are recruiting EFL teachers for residential summer posts within the UK.
Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, communicative EFL lessons. Lessons will include engaging activities to help students develop accuracy, fluency and most importantly, confidence in spoken English.
You will teach English as a Foreign Language to international students aged 8-16.
Provide a clear and accurate model of the English language.
Plan and deliver student-centred, interactive lessons.
Apply classroom management techniques to ensure happy, focused classrooms.
Respond and adapt to feedback, be flexible.
Attend meetings, plan lessons.
Carry out some additional duties each week e.g. wake-up, bedtime, house night games.
Ensure safeguarding and welfare of students and respond sensitively to pastoral matters.
Sleep on-site, normally in a room near the students.
Location
Benenden School, Kent (8-12 years, 13-15 years) Mon 7 July - Wed 6 Aug.
Winchester College, Hampshire (13-16 years) Wed 3 July - Fri 1 Aug.
Shrewsbury School, Shropshire (11-16 years) Mon 30 June - Wed 30 July.
(Non-residential hourly-paid teaching work also available at Collingham, central London. 23 June-9 Aug)
Benefits
Contracts available for 2-4 weeks.
From £706 to £795 gross per week (£630 to £710 +12.07% holiday pay) Depending on qualifications and experience.
Residential staff receive meals and accommodation worth £74.62 per week.
Two-day induction, paid pro rata.

Requirements and Skills
Hold a valid UK work permit by the start of your employment.
A first degree in any discipline (preferable) CELTA, Trinity TESOL, B.Ed/PGCE (Primary Education, English or MFL) or EFL Level 5 equivalent (other qualifications will be considered).
Previous experience in a residential setting.
Experience working with multi-lingual / international children and teens.
Expert communicators and team players.
Genuinely enjoy working with children and teens.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, intensive environment.
Comfortable using online and digital systems e.g. Google Suite.
Excited about teaching.
Creative, energetic, fun.
