TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

A TEFL certificate is an internationally recognised qualification that allows you to teach English in schools abroad, privately in the UK or online.

There are many benefits to having a TEFL Certificate. A TEFL Certificate gives you the opportunity to explore the world whilst earning money. You have the flexibility to choose when, where, and how often you work.

TEFL is a great addition to any UCAS personal statement. Use your experience to support your application. A TEFL course provides you with lots of valuable skills, as well as the knowledge to teach EFL.

TEFL Certificates open you up to a world of opportunities, including volunteering opportunities.

You'll have 180 days to complete the course. We recommend that you spend 120 hours on the course, including the time you spend on the assessments.

The course is self-paced, which means you can study when it suits you. You can access the learning platform on computers, laptops, tablets and the mobile app.

The course is made up of 9 Core Content Modules, a TEFL Exam, and 2 Graded Assignments.

Throughout the course, you'll study using lots of interactive learning elements including: presenter-led videos, narrator-led videos, matching and sorting activities, galleries, flipbooks, tasks, and concept checking quizzes.

On successful completion of the course, you will receive an electronic certificate (unless you have purchased a TQUK package).

• Module 9: Class Levels

There are mini quizzes and assessments throughout Module 1-9 which can be taken as many times as you wish. To progress through the course, you will need to achieve 75% on all quizzes and assessments.

Module 10 includes a TEFL Exam, and you will be given a set of questions to answer within the three-hour time limit given. All the questions are based on the content of the course. The course is designed to challenge you, but there are no trick questions, and the answers are all within the course. The final assessment can only be taken once, but if you do not pass you can buy an additional attempt for £12.

The Graded Module includes two graded coursework submissions - don't worry, you'll be given a full brief and criteria on what you'll need to include.

Tasks must be completed offline and uploaded via a desktop. Don’t worry if you can't to do this - let us know and we’ll be happy to upload your tasks for you.

UK-TEFL is a platinum Approved Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) Centre, which means all our courses are endorsed by TQUK. TQUK is a national awarding body and is regulated by Ofqual (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).

The certificate you’ll receive on completion of the course is internationally recognised and accredited by TQUK.
