  • Conducting a needs analysis

    It’s crucial to conduct a needs analysis prior to or early on in teaching to establish a students motivations and needs. In this part of the course we’ll look at some key components of how we conduct an effective needs analysis.

  • Presentation Skills

    Presentation skills are a key part of Business English. Students need to know how to structure a presentation and how to introduce and talk about the content of their presentations. We’ll look at effective ways of teaching our students.

  • Meetings

    In this part of the course, we’ll look at teaching our students how to run and participate in meetings. We’ll cover how we can effectively teach our students key meeting vocabulary and meeting etiquette.

  • Using the Telephone

    Most Business English students will need some training on how using a telephone and telephone etiquette. In this part of the course, we’ll run through all of the key vocabulary needed and some teaching activity ideas.

  • Marketing

    Marketing is a key part of any business and most Business English students will need some knowledge of key marketing terminology. We’ll look at key vocabulary and teaching ideas you can use in your own lessons.

  • Negotiating

    Some Business English students will need to know about negotiation, including how best to approach a negotiation, the etiquette and the key vocabulary. We’ll cover all of this within this part of the course.

  • Teaching Vocabulary

    Vocabulary is a key part of Business English. Jargon, phrasal verbs and idioms are prominent parts of the business world and without exposure to them, it can be difficult to comprehend a lot of what people say.

  • Company Profiles

    Company profiles are used often in the business world and it’s likely Business English students will use them. In this part of the course we’ll teach students how to create a company profile and key vocabulary used.
