UK-TEFL run Teaching English as a Foreign Language enrichment courses for students in schools across the country. Our courses are taught by exceptional trainers, all with extensive experience in teaching EFL in the UK and overseas. Our courses can be delivered over 1-2 days or a number of shorter weekly sessions - we can work with your timetable to create the perfect package for you!

Option 1: Certified 2-Day TEFL Course

2+ DAYS • 8-21 STUDENTS PER GROUP • INDUSTRY STANDARD TEFL COURSE

This fast paced and engaging course gives your students everything they need to take their first steps into EFL teaching. The course will include icebreakers, sample lessons (designed to put students in the position of English learners), a grammar recap, valuable teaching techniques, tips on finding work abroad, lesson planning and much more, through the use of fun hands-on activities. Students will even get the opportunity to plan and teach their own lesson each day. Upon completion of the course students will be certified to Teach English as a Foreign Language abroad or privately in the UK. The course can be run in the classroom or live online with one of our experienced trainers. Minimum number of 8 students per group.

Option 3: Online 120 Hour TEFL Course

6 MONTHS ACCESS • 5+ STUDENTS

LET YOUR STUDENTS LEARN THE THEORY OF TEFL AT THEIR OWN PACE

This comprehensive online course will give your pupils an excellent grounding of the theory behind TEFL. There are a number of quizzes, homework tasks and activities to complete throughout. Students have access to the course for up to six months, so they can study at their own pace and in their own time. Teachers also have access to the online course in order to track their student’s progress. Upon completion of the course students will be certified to Teach EFL abroad or privately in the UK. The online course is a great addition to the classroom based options, or it can be run in complete isolation. 

All students will also receive an electronic certificate and support finding work.

DURATION: 120 HOURS - 6 months access to complete the course

Andrea has a degree in French and Spanish as well as a DELTA and PGCE. She is also a CELTA trainer and enjoys the opportunity to train teachers who wish to join the profession. She has worked primarily in France, Spain and the UK, but has travelled as far afield as Russia and Brazil to assess CELTA courses for Cambridge English.

Favourite Destination: Perth, Australia, as her son lives there, but Paris is a close second as it is home from home.

Favourite Destination: Having worked in Peru a couple of times on teacher training projects, I can say that it is the most exotic place I have been. The people are so warm and friendly and just want to hold hands and dance.

Best Foreign Cuisine: I love Arabic food, all the salads, hummous, kebab, lubna (cream cheese) and khabsa (mixed meat and rice). Just look out for the waistline!

WHO ARE UK-TEFL?

We are the UK’s leading TEFL trainers. We have gained many years’ experience in the English teaching profession and all members of our dedicated training team have a minimum of three years’ post-qualification, overseas English teaching experience. Our management team has been involved in TEFL training for well over a decade.

WHO ARE UK-TEFL ENDORSED BY?

TQUK, a national awarding body that is regulated by Ofqual.

HOW MANY STUDENTS CAN ATTEND A COURSE?

8-21 students - we require a minimum of 8 students to run our classroom courses, and we can accommodate larger numbers of 21+ by running a number of separate groups.

WHAT AGE IS THE COURSE SUITABLE FOR?

16+ years old

DO THE STUDENTS NEED TO BE STUDYING ENGLISH A LEVEL?

No, but we recommend that students have achieved (or predicted) GCSE English (grade A*-C).

WHAT WILL THE STUDENTS NEED TO BRING TO THE COURSE?

All they will need to bring is a pen and paper to take notes.

WHAT DOES THE SCHOOL NEED TO PROVIDE?

A classroom, flipcharts and pens.

WHAT ARE THE TIMINGS OF THE COURSE?

Our courses generally run 9am-5pm each day, but can be adapted to suit your school’s needs.

ARE ALL TRAINERS DBS CHECKED?

Yes, all trainers hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.

HOW CAN I ARRANGE A TEFL COURSE AT MY SCHOOL?

Reserve some potential dates on the website and we will be in touch, or contact your TEFL coordinator directly for more information.

WILL UK-TEFL SUPPLY ADVERTISING MATERIALS?

We supply you with flyers and a template letter for both students and their guardians. All advertising materials are free of charge. You can also book in an assembly slot for a UK-TEFL representative to promote the course (availability dependent).

DOES A SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVE NEED TO BE ON SITE?

We ask that a school representative is there on day one to meet and greet your trainer.

CAN TEACHERS JOIN THE UK-TEFL COURSE?

Yes! Teachers, parents, students and anyone with an interest in TEFL can attend the course at your school. You can advertise to other local schools that you may be in partnership with as well.

WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCESS?

Once you have the minimum number of 8 students confirmed, we can then send across your booking form to get the dates confirmed with your trainer. At this point your school will be invoiced for the deposit amount (8 students) for your chosen course type. An alternative option is for your school to be supplied with an online link where students can pay for their course individually with their debit/credit card.
